Since this model was just recently announced, we only have a small amount of information available. The Mazda MX-30 will be powered by an electric motor and a 35.5 kWh lithium-ion battery. The front-wheel drive electric motor has a power output of 107 kW and a torque of 200 lb-ft. Owners of the MX-30 can charge their model at home or while travelling at the public Level 2 or DC fast charging stations. The battery can be charged to 80% within 36 minutes when charged at a DC fast charging station. Mazda North American Operations plans on partnering with ChargePoint to offer more charging solutions.

The design of the Mazda MX-30 combines modernity with futuristic elements to help transition into the next generation. Some of the design features include freestyle doors, minimalist interior design, driver-centric layout, cork door grips, and a new floating center console. The floating center consoles contains the electronic shifter, the multi-function commander knob, and shortcut buttons to the MAZDA CONNECT™ infotainment system. Available technology features include a 7-inch touchscreen display, a climate control panel, Mazda Connected Services, and i-ACTIVSENSE® suite.
